New name...Same great park...
Although locals and past visitors will always refer to it as Hurricane Creek Park, the 67 1/2 acre park was recently renamed The William "Buddy" Rodgers Natural Area in honor of Mr. Rodgers, who had a vision of the park and spent half his life making it a reality.  After retiring, he deeded the land to Forever Wild of Alabama, who has leased it to the City of Cullman Parks and Recreation Department for management of daily operations.

Visitors and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the swinging bridge, 3 miles of scenic hiking trails, primitive tent camping, picnic tables, a natural bridge, climbing stations and take courses in basic backpacking and different climbing techniques.  The park also offers a souvenir gift shop and pro gear shop for those who need supplies for rock climbing, mountain biking, repelling, sport climbing, top roping, climbing and traditional climbing.
