Cullman Celebrates Successful Return of Annual Nerf War Event at OmniPlex
Nerf War Event: A Smash Hit at Cullman's OmniPlex
The vibrant community of Cullman, Alabama recently marked a joyous occasion with the return of its annual Nerf War event. Hosted by Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism (CPRST), this exciting gathering took place at the newly established OmniPlex on June 14, 2025. In just its second year, the event saw participation nearly double, drawing close to 100 Nerf enthusiasts, ranging from parents to children, eager to engage in friendly competition.
Jamie Kirk, CPRST Programs Coordinator, was thrilled with the overwhelming response. Participants donned 96 jerseys, and quickly immersed themselves in popular games like "Last Man Standing" and "Capture the Flag." The indoor setting, complete with air conditioning and attentive referees, ensured a comfortable and secure experience, allowing families to enjoy the event without the worry of summer heat.
Kirk emphasized the importance of providing free, fun-filled activities that families can enjoy together, especially as such opportunities become less common. With the event's growing popularity, CPRST is already looking forward to next year's Nerf War, promising another memorable summer highlight.
In addition to the Nerf War, CPRST invites the community to other engaging activities, such as "Summer Movies at Art Park," featuring a free outdoor screening of "The Little Rascals" on June 20. For more details on this event and other exciting summer plans, visit the Cullman Tribune: Read more.
