WildWater Cullman is proud to announce its participation in the 15th annual World's Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL) today, June 20, 2024. This global event, organized by the World Waterpark Association, aims to raise awareness about the critical importance of teaching children to swim as a vital life-saving skill.

The World's Largest Swimming Lesson is a coordinated effort involving waterparks, pools, and aquatic facilities worldwide. The event underscores the message that "Swimming Lessons Save Lives™," addressing the alarming statistic that drowning is the second leading cause of unintended, injury-related death for children ages 1-14.

Michael Schwitek, General Manager of WildWater Cullman, expressed his enthusiasm for the event and the mission behind it. "At WildWater Cullman, our top priority is ensuring the safety of all our guests. We are passionate about providing a safe and enjoyable environment for families. Participating in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson allows us to emphasize the importance of water safety and the need for every child to learn to swim. This skill is not just about fun; it is a crucial tool in preventing drowning and saving lives."

Today's event at WildWater Cullman will feature a comprehensive swimming lesson led by experienced lifeguards and instructors. The lesson is designed to teach essential swimming skills and water safety practices to children of all ages. Participants received commemorative wristbands to mark the occasion.
